These patterns are all about basic shapes... circles, lines, triangles, diamonds and rectangles.
"Gene Splicing" is a very popular pattern. The twisty motion is inspired by the double helix (aka DNA). Ironically, this pattern is available as a baby carrier. Click here for a look for the double helix.
The other patterns all have some geometric magic working for them. The mathematical linear pattern was inspired by the line (or line segment or ray). The negative space is dotted with diamonds. The rectangular cube pattern is a play on a stack of books.
Strange how none of these patterns features squares, yet all these patterns are inspired by nerdy pursuit. All are available for purchase on Spoonflower.
